Help us rescue good food and get it to people who need it
Every dollar keeps our volunteers on the ground and the harvests running.

Good food does not have to go to waste.
Fruit Share Adelaide rescues surplus fruit and vegetables from backyards and farms across more than 20 Adelaide council areas and gets them to people who need them most, through over 130 food relief partners.
Since January 2024, more than 400 registered volunteers have helped us harvest over 38,000kg of fresh produce, including over 3,000kg of pears from a single orchard in Coromandel Valley last month.
Our story has recently been shared on Channel 7 News and ABC's Gardening Australia, helping more South Australians discover that good food does not have to go to waste.
How your donation helps
We are 100% volunteer run and operate as lean as we can. But there are real costs to keeping things moving, and your donation helps cover them directly:
Fuel reimbursements for Harvest Leaders so they are never out of pocket
Harvest equipment like platform scales and secateurs to set up new Harvest Leaders
Software tools, including Common Fruit, Mailchimp and other systems, that keep coordination running smoothly
Van or ute hire so we can move larger loads of produce more efficiently
Print materials like flyers and banners to grow our reach across Adelaide
Help us to raise $20,000
This financial year, we aim to raise $20,000 to keep harvests running and allow us to continue growing.
Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible, and your receipt arrives by email straight away. Donating before 30 June means it counts toward this financial year.

Thank you for being part of this.
If you have ever watched fruit fall in your backyard, or simply believe good food should not go to waste, this is a practical way to do something about it.
